The Volkswagen Virtus comes with two types of petrol engines that follow the BS6 Phase 2 standards – a smaller 1.0-litre one and a larger 1.5-litre one. The 1.0-litre engine gives you 114 horsepower and 178 Newton-meters of twisting power. You can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission for this engine.


On the other hand, the 1.5-litre engine is more powerful, providing 148 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque. This engine is only available with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox; there's no option for a manual gearbox with this engine.
